Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) is the lacquered, fan-shaped bracket fungus that grows on hardwood logs and has been recorded in East Asian herbal tradition for well over two thousand years. It is the mushroom most people associate with the wind-down end of the day rather than the caffeinated start of it.
MUSHEEZ grow their reishi on linden (Tilia) logs and extract the fruiting bodies only — no mycelium, no glycerol, no alcohol. This is the most heavily standardised liquid in the range: more than 30% beta-glucans, more than 40% polysaccharides and more than 1% triterpenes, the bitter compounds that give reishi its distinctive character.
Expect a genuinely bitter, woody taste — that bitterness is the triterpene fraction and is a feature of a properly concentrated reishi extract, not a fault. Most people take it in the evening, in warm water or a herbal tea, as the closing bracket of the day.
